Before experimenting with contrast |
Contrast
Contrast means the state of being strikingly different from something else in juxtaposition or close association.
Different types of contrast...
- Size
- Brightness
- Colour
- Font
- Shape
For my logo I decided to experiment with colour and size. For colour I wanted to make it very funky and eye-catching, this is because it will grab people's attention.
I changed the colour of 'C, R and E' because I wanted them to be brighter so they can stand out more. The rest of the letters in my logo are still black.
Another example of colour contrast is changing the colour of the background, I changed mine to yellow. This is because yellow is also a very bright colour so it makes it very eye-catching. Size is also an type of contrast and I used it in my updated logo. I increased the size for letters C, R and E because they are my initials and I want to make my initials eye-catching and powerful. I kept the other letters in my logo the same size but at least the size is average so you can still read it clearly.
Below this statement is how I developed my logo using contrast. I used Adobe PhotoShop for editing my logo, I screenshotted every step I did (in total there was 44 steps) and then finally I saved them into a folder and added all the sccreenshots to Movie Maker and made an animate movie.
